Brothers Against Diabetes

I know it may be hard to believe but Kevin and I were successful in our goal.  We ran 63 km (39.3 miles) in one weekend and lived to talk about it.  Our fundraising total so far for the Canadian Diabetes Association (through Team Diabetes) is over $21,000!  Thanks to our family and friends we have raised awareness and spread the word on the importance of exercise in the race to find a cure.

Well folks, Kevin and I have completed the Donald Duck half marathon.  We are looking forward to the full marathon tomorrow and especially the celebration afterwards.  Thanks again for your support.

Thanks for all the encouragement.  We will be thinking of all our supporters as we make our way along the race courses.  Your efforts will serve as a constant distraction as the fatigue sets in.  You will be our inspiration when we approach the "wall".  We are in this together!

We are headed down the home stretch. We are at $3,200 each and counting.  Final preparations and training are in full swing.  We are hoping that the good weather stays as long as possible in order to facilitate outdoor running.  We will continue to hold events in the upcoming months so keep checking in.  Until next time, keep up the good work!

We have met the first deadline of $1500 and are on our way to the next one at the end of October. Thanks again to all who have donated to our race fund! 

We would like to thank all the golfers, sponsors and volunteers for the great day at the Meadows Golf and Country Club.  Although the weather didn't cooperate, we had a great time and managed to raise over $2,500!  Thanks again for your continued support.

Kevin and I have completed another race and are on our way to the big one in Disney.  Thanks to all who supported us for the Ottawa race.  The weather was great as were the spectators.  Team Diabetes raised over $100,000 on the weekend  thanks to people like you.

You might think it's early but the first donation for the Disney race has been received.  Don't delay we have fundraising deadlines to meet along the way. 

Kevin and I will be running in the 21km race on Sunday May 25th in Ottawa.  This will be our first half marathon.  Volunteeers are needed for the waterstation manned by Team Diabetes.  If you are interested send us your info in the comments section.
